Enquiry


Enquiry offices regarding train arrival and departure generally function round the clock at major stations. Enquiry regarding reservation availability and PNR status etc., functions between 8.00 hrs to 20.00 hrs. on week days and 8.00 hrs to 14.00 hrs on Sunday. The IVR system for PNR enquiry is available between 5.30 hrs to 22.00 hrs. The telephone numbers are given below

Interactive Voice Response System (IVRS) for reservation status enquiry.

The system facilitates enquiries such as availability of accommodation ,current status of Reservation against cancellation (RAC) and wait listed tickets. This is in addition to manual telephone enquiry available . After dialing the IVRS number and getting a response the caller has to dial the PNR number printed on the upper left hand side of the ticket and the current status of the ticket is known automatically. This facility is available from 5.30 hrs. to 22.30 hrs.

Interactive Voice Response System(IVRS) for Train Arrival/Departure Enquiry.

North Western Railway has introduced On-Line train information system for enquiry regarding train arrival/departure. This facility is available on telephone number 132 .On Line train information and Passenger information on North Western Railway Web Site.

Indian Railway has started an On-Line Train information Service on the internet as a facility for the passengers. The information regarding actual train status can be viewed from the link train status on North Western Railway web site.

The PNR enquiry and berth availability status can be viewed on the web site http://WWW.indian rail.gov.in This link is also available on the North Western Railway site. The On Line train position can also be viewed on the North Western Railway server URL http://www..railnet.gov.in

Touch Screen Reservation Enquiry System.

This system provides easy real time access to information about the reservation status of tickets and accommodation availability on trains. The current status of reservation ticket can be known by entering the PNR number on the numeric touch pad available on the screen by merely touching it. After entering the PNR number and touching the display button the current status of the ticket is instantly displayed on the screen.
